These are our highest-density springtail cultures, built for immediate effectiveness and long-term stability in bioactive systems. Cultures are offered in multiple high-density tiers (500+, 1000++, 2000++, or 5000++), allowing customers to select the population size that best fits their needs.

Quantity Notes (+/++)

Quantities are listed as minimum tiers, with intentional overfilling:

• “+” indicates overfilled cultures, containing at least 10% more than the listed quantity
• “++” indicates extra-heavy overfill, often well above the listed minimum and commonly 2–3×, depending on culture density at the time of packing

Because these are living cultures, exact counts vary, but all cultures are packed to exceed the stated minimum for their tier.

When properly maintained, these clay-based cultures are designed for long-term productivity, continuing to reproduce for a year or more. Their high population density allows for rapid response to mold or fungal imbalances, helping protect plants and other sensitive flora while supporting a balanced micro-ecosystem—without the risk of introducing or housing mites.

Unlike nutritionally inert substrates commonly used in commercial cultures, our clay medium supports sustained microbial activity, reducing the need for constant intervention and providing a reliable backup population for ongoing terrarium maintenance.
